Life...

When I hear people in general, whether on tv or radio, talk about life and its meaning, alot of it can start to sound cliché. So, when I feel like I have a chance to have a very real conversation with someone, I'll ask them for their prerogative. Sometimes it catches people off guard and they're a little hesitant about how to reply, and other times people just start pouring out a dialog that has been locked up waiting for someone like me to come along. But, in either case, whether it's me or the other person, (or both), it gives us a chance to actually think about life and perspective. And I think that's a good thing.

A while back, I heard someone say, (and I can't remember where I heard it, probably Chip Ingram), that life is about building relationships. And this philosophy resonated with me after thinking about it for a while. I really liked it. No, wait… I actually loved this philosophy the more it came to mind. I think I would consider myself a patient person that is easy to get along with. And I love building stuff. It's natural for me to build, …so naturally, I was born to build relationships! (That was a joke).

However, as great as the bridges that I have built over the years may seem to me, I have never conceded to completely burning bridges down. I can say there are bridges that I may never cross again, but as far as burning bridges….

It feels awkward. Just the thought of it creates a vibe that I don’t want to invite into my life.

So I dont.

I soberly choose not to burn bridges but rather to not cross them if there are alternatives… And it works for me. Is it right? I dont know. Is there something deeper to it? Probably, but to be honest, I don't know that either. And rather than spend time trying to figure out whats wrong with me, I'd honestly rather spend my time trying to be a good influence on those around me and leave a small footprint of good difference in the world. If thats a thing. How about you? When was the last time you thought about life?

Do you have a prerogative on what life is about? What is your philosophical point of view on your life or destiny?

Well, Hopefully this motivates you to think a little deeper about what life means to you.

Peace.
